Technical information required to use APIs that enable interaction between a third-party graphic system (e.g. MapGuide, virtual 3D navigation tool) and the CARL Source software package to be established.
Implementation takes place via the third-party system, which handles the triggered call to a CARL Source application screen, to which the user is connected.
This API can be used to search, view and create equipment, as well as create work orders and work requests. These actions are executed with the rights of the connected user in CARL Source and are integrated in the user’s navigation.
This exchange takes place between the two active windows, with the third-party graphical component being displayed in CARL Source:
- either on the screen displaying the equipment tree structure,
- or within the home screen by means of a customised component (GISMAP or other).
