SDS is the proven & user-friendly software tool for the intelligent substation design. It helps to build your 3D quality design substation in the most optimized way.
SDS offers various options to build a ground grid in a quick, easy and efficient way. The tool also captures and creates grid data and offers an automatic BOM for Ground grid design.
It shows how Substation Design Suite™ (SDS) Physical harnesses Autodesk Inventor’s ability to create fast and accurate 2D prints and Bill of Material of a 3D substation.
There are two modules in the Substation Design Suite.
- Physical design module: We can generate a 3D model of the substation using this module. This module includes a number of design checks that are required for physical design.
- Secondary design module: This module is responsible for the substation’s protection and control design. This module includes a number of automated tools for panel design and wiring. Because this module is an add-on to AutoCAD Electrical, users will have the added benefit of being able to use AutoCAD Electrical’s features as well.As a result, we can state that the Substation Design Suite adds substation-specific features to Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical, making the task of a substation designer much easier.
