A junction box is a box that can be composed of metal or plastic in electrical engineering. Additional
sockets for laying cables, expanding electrical circuits, and adding lighting points are available in a
range of shapes and sizes (usually round or square). When more than one electrical conduit meets, a junction
of wires occurs, and we utilise junction boxes to hide the cables so that we can use any external circuit
from these junction boxes.
You can use a junction box to extend wiring. You should use a junction box if your existing wiring does not
reach its intended end point. Use the correct wires for both the source and the extension. Ensure that both
the gauge and the insulation meet the electrical code requirements. To extend the wires far enough to reach
the new location, a junction box may be required.
iEngineering can manufacture and supply Electrical and Instrument Junction Boxes. These junction boxes can
be custom-built using stainless steel 316, mild steel, and other materials, with an IP rating of IP65.
Junction boxes are found both indoors and outdoors. A junction box serves as a connection point for power,
control, and instrumentation wiring. The use of a junction box facilitates easier fault detection and
repair.
